After graduating in 2018 Ashley made the decision to focus on her acting career, and decided not to enroll at a college. Ashley played Jessica Finch, a character in the comedy Judy Moody's Not Bummer Summer in 2011. The actress gained acclaim in 2012 when she was the voice for several bears and rat characters in the animated film Ernest & Celestine with Forest Whitaker Lambert Wilson Pauline Brunner. The movie follows the relationship that Ernest the bear shares along with Celestine the mouse. It was awarded 14 among 29 nominations which included an Oscar.
