Rene Marie Russo, an American film director and actress who was once a supermodel is a film director. Apart from her beautiful elegance, her continued successes in the highly competitive world of film can be attributed to her talents as an actor. Her career began as a model for fashion in the year 1970 then she rose quickly to prominence. Then, in the mid 1990s she started studying the theatre and acting. Later, in Los Angeles and California she appeared on stage for the first time. Russo's screen debut was in ABCs 1987 drama Sable in which she was Eden Kendell. In 2005 she decided to go on a lengthy, self-imposed pause. After a prolonged break, she returned to the screen in Thor. Rose fought Carla Esparza on April 15, 2015, for the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose defeated Esparza by an technical knockout that took less than three minutes of Round One. Rose not only took home the title but she was also awarded Fighter Of The Night. Rose also made MMA historical with her fight since she was the first woman to challenge in a title fight at any organization of note. Namajunas then went on to win several other fights. She also beat Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, which earned her Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
